I recently had a very interesting conversation with Keith Weinhold in an interview for Get Rich Education.
We began by discussing the FOUR GREAT THREATS confronting the United States today:
Very large government debt and deficits,
The growing possibility that the United States will be conquered by China,
The bitter political divisions within the United States, and
The dependence of our economic system, Creditism, on credit growth for its survival.
I then asserted that all of these threats can only be overcome by an acceleration of US economic growth, and I explained why large-scale investment through a US Sovereign Wealth Fund (which now has bipartisan support) is the surest way to ensure the economy grows much faster – while the alternative, Austerity, is the surest way to economic collapse and national ruin.
Other topics included:
The possibility that much higher trade tariffs will drive inflation and interest rates up, while pushing asset prices and economic output down,
The greatest risks facing investors in real estate and equities,
How high can US government debt rise before provoking a national crisis, and
How the “end game” would play out in the event of such a crisis.
This was a great discussion.
I hope you will watch it now.
After you do, leave a comment to let me know your thoughts on the greatest threats facing the United States.
